ConsignClear is a simple ownership and payout ledger that sits next to the POS you already use. Track who owns each item, what sold, and what every consignor is owed, then send clean monthly statements. It is in development now.
The problem
- Checkout runs through Shopify or Square, but who owns each item, its split and its 90-day expiry live in a color-coded Google Sheet.
- Month end means two to three hours matching sold items back to consignors by hand, then texting each one what they are owed.
- Regular retail inventory tools treat every piece as stock you own, so consignor reporting and one-of-a-kind items are an afterthought.
- Returns, markdowns and fees make payouts easy to get wrong, and a wrong payout turns into an awkward conversation with a consignor.
- Full consignment suites often start around $99/month and want to replace your POS, which a small shop does not need.

Who is building this
I'm Emad, a software developer who builds small tools for niche businesses. I kept seeing consignment and resale shop owners describe the same setup: Shopify or Square at the register, and a spreadsheet for everything about who owns what and who gets paid.
